Easy Fundraising

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for Bentworth Parent Teacher Association with easyfundraising?

There are over 8,000 retailers on board ready to make a donation – including eBay, Argos, John Lewis & Partners, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S – and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help us raise funds.

All you need to do is:

1. Go to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/bentworthpta/ and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping or add the desk top extension or mobile donation reminder to be prompted when you enter a participating site.

3. After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to Bentworth Parent Teacher Association at no extra cost to you whatsoever!

There are no catches or hidden charges, just a huge amount of gratitude from the PTA!

Donate Your Old Clothes

Have clothes piling up that won't be seeing the light of day again?

Turn your unwanted garments into valuable school resources by taking a few extra steps at drop off!

Here's how it works:

  • Donate any unwanted textiles – clothes, shoes, linens – to the recycling bank (We have our own Astra Recycling textile bank located conveniently by the wooden school gate.)

  •  Astra diverts textiles from landfills, promoting sustainability. Plus, with every kilo collected, they donate funds directly to the PTA!

  • Donated clothing may be reused in Eastern Europe or Africa, or even recycled into insulation materials or industrial cleaning wipes.

By decluttering your drawers, you're contributing to a greener future and supporting our school - all without going out of your way! So next time you're dropping off or picking up your child, please consider making a donation to our recycling bank. Every little bit helps!

Match Funding

Did you know that donating a little of your time could raise double the funds for the PTA?

If you work for an organisation that has a match funding policy, any money you raise could be matched by your employer.

Companies may match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their employee is working on. Usually, you'll need to supply them with a letter from the PTA detailing the date and nature of the event, together with the total raised.

Typically the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.

There's nothing to lose  by asking your employer if they have a match funding scheme, or if they are willing to match fund any PTA events.  This could be a really large source of income for the PTA and help raise significant funds for the school.
